Beyond Thrilling! This Facial is Fit for More than just Vampires 〰️

Have you heard of the “Vampire Facial™”? Sounds scary, right?

It’s actually my #1, no-contest, totally incredible, absolute favorite skin restoration procedure. And the only procedure that ever gave me personally the results I had wanted for 20+ years!

Vampire Facial is actually the trademarked name of a procedure performed by Dr. Charles Runels of Alabama. Locally, you’ll find this procedure described as platelet-rich plasma therapy, or PRP by most other providers. The procedures are essentially the same process with a simple name change.

My Skin Story

I was 16 when my face started breaking out with acne.  And it seemed to get worse with every visit to the dermatologist instead of better. My skin was a constant train wreck of cystic acne and embarrassment until I did a major detox diet and saw an ND in Seattle who offered me a constitutional homeopathic treatment. I finally had clear skin, but not without severe scars and skin surface irregularities.

I tried two rounds of laser resurfacing, microfractional CO2 laser resurfacing, and every peel and exfoliant known to womankind.

And NONE of it worked as well as the PRP facial.

A New Service for Arlington and Seattle

I am BEYOND EXCITED to announce that we are offering this service at both locations, Essential Wellness in Arlington and Meridian Medicine in Seattle.

The PRP Facial Rejuvenation uses your platelets which are little powerhouses of repair. The platelets release growth factors, improve blood flow, and stimulate rejuvenation.

“Goodbye fine wrinkles. Goodbye acne scars. Hello youthful, glowing skin! “

Special equipment is necessary to harvest “platelet-rich” plasma in a manner that is FDA-approved. We invested in this equipment because you deserve to have the best possible, safest and most effective PRP Facial Rejuvenation experience.

PRP Facial Rejuvenation experience

When you come in for a treatment, one of our highly trained doctors will draw your blood into PRP-specific tubes and spin it down in a PRP-specific centrifuge to ensure that we are harvesting the highest number of platelets from your plasma. While that is processing, we will apply a powerful customized numbing cream on your skin to ensure your experience is not a painful one.

The treatment itself involves applying the PRP to your skin and treating your skin with the Skin Pen™. The beauty of the Skin Pen™ tool is that your provider can adjust the depth of the needle to take into account the thinner, more delicate skin around the eyes and the thicker skin on the cheeks.  The process will be painless in most areas and possibly a little spicy in the most sensitive spots.

Recovery time is about 3 days and you need to avoid the sun for the first 48 hours after the procedure. Three treatments, one month apart, are recommended to get the best results.

Results after a single treatment

After one treatment, if you are anything like me, you will be soooo excited to have the other two done. I noticed a huge improvement after my first treatment but it was the full series of three that gave me the smooth, even, youthful skin that I had dreamed of for 20 years.

Finally, I no longer look in the mirror at my cheeks with a feeling of pain in my gut. I can even leave the house without makeup! My friends compliment my skin. When someone checks my ID or learns my age, they look at me in shock and say I look really good “for my age”. Ha! Thanks, I guess…

Acne scars, surgical scars on other parts of the body, annoying lip lines, crow’s feet, frown wrinkles, and even necklines can be dramatically improved with PRP Skin Rejuvenation.
